Resource Center

A Resource for the Community

Located in the Cobblestone Court building at 915 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins, the Hopkins Area Family Resource Center is looking forward to celebrating their 15th anniversary in 2008.

Hopkins Area Family Resource Center

Working Together

The Center is the result of a unique collaboration between the cities of Hopkins and Minnetonka, Hopkins School District, faith communities, social service agencies and area business and individuals.  The mission of the Center is to provide needed services and referrals to area residents.

Dozens of ways to make a difference

Winter WarmWear

In addition to an extensive Information & Referral service, the Resource Center also provides school supplies to low-income children during their annual Back-to-School supply drive, Winter WarmWear to children during the cold winter months, and toys during the December holiday season. Other services include Tax Preparation Assistance during the  February through April tax season and food packages through the Second Harvest Heartland Foodbank. Newest service is on-site counseling through Relate Counseling Center from Minnetonka. And just recently, Children’s Dental Service was at the Center, providing x-rays and exams to area children who lack dental care.

These services are just an example of the many ways the Resource Center makes Hopkins a better place to live – and why the Hopkins Area Family Resource Center is November’s Point of Pride.
