Begin the day with breakfast at a Mainstreet restaurant. Here's a couple suggestions:
- Hoagies Restaurant – 824 Mainstreet
A Hopkins landmark, Hoagie’s first opened in the 1950’s and is located in the oldest brick building in Hopkins. Hoagie’s features a traditional breakfast (served all day) and lunch menu. For breakfast try the French toast made with home-baked bread. - Boston Garden – 1019 Mainstreet
Boston Garden features a variety of daily breakfast specials from 7 am to 10 am. You are sure to be greeted warmly by Kristi and Felix, owners of Boston Garden.
After breakfast, start at one end of Mainstreet and shop your way to the other. (Most retail establishments open at 10 am.) Hopkins is home to one of the greatest concentrations of antique stores in the state. There are also many unique gift stores including Fringe, Specially Yours, Glenrose Floral, and Hillary’s Hand Painted Gifts.
