All trails lead to Hopkins
Hopkins has the unique designation of being the trailhead for the Southwest Regional LRT Trail and the North Trail Corridor. The Southwest Regional LRT Trail follows abandoned railroad beds and features the following:
- 27 miles of trail for biking, walking, running and pet walking
- Scenic views of Minnehaha Creek, Lake Minnetonka, Lake Riley, Bluff Creek Ravine and Minnesota River Valley
- The trail passes through or near Carver Park Reserve and various city parks with picnic and toilet facilities
Departing from the Southwest Regional LRT Trail at 8th Avenue you can pick up the North Trail Corridor just north of Mainstreet. It features 15 miles of trail ending in downtown Victoria.
Parking for the trails is available at The Depot Coffee House, a renovated train depot that now serves as a coffee house and teen center. Stop in for a refreshment before you hit the trail! For more information, visit the Three Rivers Park District website.
