The City of Hopkins is offering a onetime grant opportunity for façade improvements. Eligible building owners, or business owners, may apply for grant assistance up to 50% of the cost of improvements — up to $25,000.
The City of Hopkins is looking to strengthen the vitality of Mainstreet by improving the pedestrian experience, increasing building transparency and beautifying buildings through façade revitalization efforts, which will have a lasting impact on downtown Hopkins. This program will provide building and business owners with technical and financial assistance to help improve building façades.
Property owners, or business owners with the approval of property owner, located within Downtown Hopkins between 7th Ave. and 14th Ave., and between 1st St. N. and 1st St. S. (as shown on map) are eligible to apply, assuming the property has no delinquent bills, charges or taxes due to the city. Applicants must also be able to provide proof of ability to provide matching funds.
For more information about the program or to schedule a meeting to talk about your ideas for a project, please contact Kurt Howard.
The deadline to apply is Monday, June 26, at noon.
