Hennepin County Fair
Central Park

The Hennepin County Fair was first held in Hopkins at 11th and Mainstreet and by 1910 had expanded to the western edge of Central Park. A racetrack, grandstand and permanent structures to house animals and farm displays were here for many years. The city bought the Fairgrounds in 1962 when the fair ended its 56-year run here. Today, the open park space complements the city facilities here.
