About The Collection
Almost two million books, magazines, newspapers, CDs, and DVDs, including many in international languages, plus more than 1,000 computer workstations, are available to you free of charge at the libraries.
The Hopkins Library's language collection includes books and other materials in English, Spanish, and Somali. In addition, Hennepin County Library has materials in a number of other languages that can be requested at the Hopkins Library.
Services At The Library
A spacious and inviting Children's Area offers reading materials for all levels. The Teen Area features a lounge for relaxing and shelves of graphic novels, magazines and teen paperback novels. The library's 27 computer workstations, including 6 with word processing, are popular among all ages. Wireless Internet access is available.

The Hopkins Library offers a wide range of free programs to meet the information and recreation needs of Hennepin County children, teens, and adults. Storytimes, book discussions, author programs, multicultural programs, classes for new and experienced computer users, and other events are featured regularly. Friends Of The Hopkins Library
The Friends of the Hopkins Library raise funds through used book sales, sponsor special programs, encourage community awareness of the library, and provide assistance at library programs and open houses.
